Story of the Coffee
Khalid’s connection to coffee is as deep-rooted as the trees he cultivates. A third-generation coffee farmer from the Gera region, he carries on a legacy that began when his grandfather planted the first coffee trees using wild plants collected from the nearby Choché forest. For Khalid, coffee isn’t just a crop—it’s a family heirloom, nurtured with the same care passed down through generations. As a child, he followed his mother during harvest, walking among the trees he now calls his “own children.” Today, Khalid continues to uphold his family’s traditions, proud of the land and the legacy he is preserving for his own children.
